Japan's Honda plans to increase production of cars with diesel engines for the European market, according to Forbes. Diesel engines will be assembled at the new enterprise Honda in the UK. The year is planned to produce up to 30 000 passenger diesels. Now diesels for the European versions Honda cars manufactured in Japan and exported to the UK. Localization of production will allow the company to meet growing European demand for diesel versions of cars and reduce transport costs. Honda manufactures in Japan for about 70,000 diesel engines per year and plans to soon increase this figure.
